Oh hay! I totally lied....
On Literary Bex when I said I didn’t get any books for Christmas! CourtinColorado sent me this amazing book/journal that I am just loving and want to create my own version of…. The True and the Questions: A Journal by Sabrina Ward Harrison.
Three of my favorite things are going on in this volume:
Journaling/Writing
Reading
Art
It really is quite lovely. I’m enjoying the...

Am feeling incredibly down at the moment and I don’t like it one bit. I’m sad and lonely and frustrated by pre-Holiday craziness and family. I miss That Man. I wish I had a few more freedoms in my life (which is crap considering how many freedoms others don’t have that I take for granted). I’m just having a little bit of a pity party.
I should probably do some yoga...

Rebecca Forgot How Much She Loves "This Old House" →
I should write an essay about my bizarre childhood obsession with “This Old House” and “The New Yankee Workshop”. Anything Norm Abram did was gold in my book. I loved the episodes when he turned table and chair legs… basically anytime he used the lathe I was super excited. I don’t remember too much, but I do vaguely remember them working on the Belmont House...

Pretentious Baby Names from Nancy's Baby Names →
There’s a pretty good list going on in the comments section of this post. I’m surprised there isn’t a tumblr about bad baby names or pretentious names. Maybe I just haven’t found it yet.

I disagree with no. 3 Love Actually and no. 5 The Family Stone.
The reason for saying Love Actually has a terrible message is a tad bit ridiculous. Donovan focuses on one of the many story lines as if it is the central one in a film that has no central story line (it’s not even one of the main ones!). Karl and Sarah are finally hooking up after two years of longing and wanting...

A MetroWest Surprise →
This is Best Friend’s blog post about the hip, artsy coffee shop that has inexplicably sprung up in my unhip, unartsy hometown (my hometown that doesn’t even have a fucking bookstore anymore).
But if you’re in the greater Central Massachusetts area or are going to be passing through sometime, during the holidays, or what have you, then you absolutely should check out The Coffee...

The Gavle Goat has already been burned. →
It burned down before I even started checking the webcam this year. I’ve been checking off and on for the past couple of weeks, but according to the blog it burned down at the very start of December. They’re not going to build a new one this year and therefore the webcam is down for the holiday. I have not heard if Little Brother was also destroyed. The blog has ceased at 2...

Now that Babe Walker (whoever the fuck she is) has a book coming out, her Twitter has gotten slightly less interesting for me.
